Uncommon Ground highly recommends that patrons use public transportation during Cubs home games, as well as an hour before and after game-time.
We are only two blocks from the Addison and Sheridan stops on the Red Line. Brown line and Purple line trains also sometimes make these stops. Consult CTA schedules or call 876-9000 (in any Chicago-land area code).
The Ashland, Clark, Sheridan, Broadway, and Irving Park bus lines are all also only blocks away from our door. In all cases, your goal is:
3800 NORTH, 1200 WEST.
If all else fails, virtually every Chicagoan can point you towards Wrigley Field.
The Sheridan stop, at Irving Park and Sheridan is slightly closer, but is less well-lit and less busy for late-night walking.
The Addison stop is always busy.
From Addison L stop:
Walk "around" Wrigley Field to CLARK street.
Turn RIGHT on Clark street.
We are at the corner of GRACE and CLARK.
From the Sheridan stop:
Walk WEST on Irving Park Road.
Turn LEFT on CLARK.
We are at the corner of GRACE and CLARK.
A cab ride from downtown will be about $10 plus tip, depending on traffic.
In the unlikely event that your cab driver does not know our address, any of the following should work:
3800 NORTH CLARK
TWO BLOCKS NORTH OF WRIGLEY FIELD ON CLARK
RACINE AND CLARK
To avoid Cubs traffic, you may want to suggest that your driver take ASHLAND AVENUE and come across GRACE STREET (3800 NORTH).
Experts may also recommend a route such as:
Milwaukee to Ashland to Cortland to Racine, or
Milwaukee to Ashland to Cortland to Kingsbury to Southport to Grace.
in normal rush hour traffic.
