Jeff Libman
I am a Chicago based singer-songwriter, writer and teacher who has played at Uncommon Ground since the music room was opened. I've played here solo, as a duo, with a full band and as the organizer of the 2005 Tsunami benefit concert.
When I'm not performing here, you can catch me in Giddings Plaza in Lincoln Square, where I perform outdoors all summer on weekend evenings, on WBEZ Chicago Public Radio, where I am a regular contributor of narrative and satirical essays, at Truman College, where I teach English as a Second Language, at your local bookstore, where I might be promoting my recent book titled An Immigrant Class:Oral Histories from Chicago's Newest Immigrants (www.animmigrantclass.com), or at Victory Gardens Theatre, where the stage adaptation of the book begins its run in March, 2007.
