Performing since the age of 5, classically trained in voice and piano, Kirsten spent much of her early years with arias, in chamber choirs and in music theatre. But, when she began training with a punk-rock vocalist and coach in LA, her 4+ octave voice was soon harnessed into an audio event that goes from a whisper to a scream, a whistle tone to a dB meter-bending belt. Over the years, she has spent many consecutive months on the road touring Northern America and Europe. She is instantly likeable, and effortlessly gracious, qualities one would not expect from an artist of her stature and talent. On stage, Davies is a force of nature. She slams out the tracks of her debut release Unseen in hard rock fashion, harder and more driving than the produced tracks of the CD. She astonishingly moves from her originals to Led Zeppelin to Foo Fighters, leaving audiences to pick their jaws up off the floor and wait in line for autographs. "Kirsten truly is a unique talent, and won't be under the radar for long!" comments Larry Smith, Publisher of the live production industry trade Tour Guide Journal. Peavey Electronics has taken notice. Even as an unsigned, virtually unknown artist, Peavey jumped on board "Team Kirsten". In the fall of 2006, shooting a promotional video of her and several artists for use at the Winter NAMM show and on Peavey TV. Featuring such legendary talents as Joe Satriani, Ted Nugent, and Mike Kroger (bassist for Nickelback), Kirsten was asked to do the promotional video for her Valve King series amp, wiht all the artists' video footage to be distributed to the million-plus readership of Peavey's Monitor magazine. She's played the Jagermeister Stage with Black Stone Cherry and Molly Hatchet, an honor virtually unheard of for an unsigned artist. She's played as a featured performer for Orange County Chopper's Across America tour. She was also featured in the 2007 Summer NAMM issue of Peavey's world-wide publication Monitor. Peavey continues to partner with Kirsten in promoting her career build, being the first of many amazing endorsers who have recognized her talent and joined Team Kirsten are Creation Audio Labs guitar pedals, Dot on Shaft and Kraken guitars, Showcase Cases, and she is in negotiations with a few major microphone companies. Kirsten is currently in pre-production on her next full-length project. The tracks are being debuted live at exclusive shows in between her writing and recording trips to Nashville, Toronto and LA, where she works with some her favorite artists, writers and musicians. |
