The ABOV gallery features works of art crafted from remote sensing satellite data. These datasets are the result of Earth observation over the past three decades and when processed artistically introduce a rather contemporary and often abstract view of the Earth's surface. Often mistaken as oil paintings and sometimes confused as photography, the ABOV works of art are something different all together. ABOV- “Art Beyond Our Vision” speaks about the science that becomes the basis for how the ABOV artists derive color in their images. We're art and science - just a lot higher up. |
