Ummm.... I wrote my first few songs in the car driving to and from Aikido (hi-yaa!!) and then one day some friends and I walked into a little coffeehouse in downtown Reno with our guitars and just set up and told them we were going to play there (we really were just feeling silly and didn't want to go home yet) and the girl working told her manager who called us the next day to ask how much money he needed to give us to bring us back every week. So that led to our first weekly gig, which was so much fun, we had no sound gear except for a cheap radio shack microphone and an old amp, so we would go in there, set up in the corner, one person would "be" the mic stand until their arm got tired and we would switch... Yeah, a little lame but it was so much fun (those were the days) and now I play wherever I can, I just recorded my debut CD at Angelhouse East Studios in NYC (produced by the amazing power-duo The Animators!) and it just hit the streets Feb. 19th, 2005 with the special collector's edition ~ a vinyl CD in a tin can!
